Duties and responsibilities:
Operating room technicians also have a term surgical
technologists. They help get the surgery room ready. They are in charge of having all the surgical
instruments that are used during the operation. They also can help the doctor
by handing him the instruments as he is asking for them. & also they are
responsible for counting sponges and needles before and after the surgery. After the surgery is completed they take the
patients to the recovery room.
Average Salary: $16,000-$22,000
Educational Requirements:
To become a Operating Room technician You need a high school
diploma or GED Certificate. It is required. At the end of the training student
MUST pass an examination by the association of surgical technologists and that
way you become certified.
Reflection: No. I don’t think I would want to become a
Operating room technician because I don’t want to work in a hospital. And not
either seeing people operated. I don’t want to work in any job that is in the
medical field.
